The Chat Chai market was built in the year 1926 in the land of the King's treasury with seven arched roofs. The roof itself
represents the age of King Rama VII, the foundation year. It was established by His Royal Highness, Prince Purachatra Jayakara (Krom Pra Kam- paengpetch Akrayothin).
The market was named in honour of the founder name which means Burachat Chaiyakorn, a member of the Royal Family to pay great respect
to the King Rama VII and the Queen Rambhai Barni.
