Spurious Free Dynamic Range

IMD is measured by examining the output of a Device Under Test (DUT) with a spectrum analyser while the DUT is being stimulated with a two-tone-rf test signal. Usually the odd (IMD3, IMD5,...) products are observed, because they fall back into the spectrum of interest.

The Measurement Setup

The Measurement Setup : Two Sources added up and applied to a DUT.

In order to measure this, you will need two RF generators. Make sure their output is combined therefore, that they don't "see" each other.
