Return Loss (dB) to VSWR Calculator

Converts dB into VSWR

Return Loss

  [dB]

Input Power

  [dBm]

  [W]

VSWR

  :1

Mismatch Loss

  [dB]

Reflection Coefficient

Reflected Power

  [dBm]

  [W]

Output Power

  [dBm]

  [W]

✈ Formula used

VSWR : Voltage Standig Wave Ratio

Return Loss : Measure on how good the Load is Power-matched to the Source. In fact this can be seen as how close to 50 Ω (Source-Impedance) the Load is.

Power-matching (= Impedance-matching) is very often used in RF-circuits, as we deal with low Power Levels and don't want to loose any of the precious Signal.
